VIARES is the first independent organization to achieve IAOCR 5 star accreditation for their industry-newcomers training course
Maidenhead, United Kingdom and Vienna, Austria, 15 August 2018 – The VIARES CRA ACADEMY has been awarded the IAOCR 5 star accreditation for their training program: providing the first accredited, independent, competency-based entry level program for clinical research.
Developed to upskill newcomers for a career as clinical research associates based on their competence, the VIARES CRA ACADEMY development program addresses the skills, knowledge and behaviors participants need to acquire in order to perform their role effectively and professionally.
IAOCR, the accrediting organization for the international clinical research industry, undertook a six-month assessment period designed to ensure high standards. The process involved a detailed review of all materials and methodology assessed against learning outcomes and assessment criteria. In order to become a recognized center to deliver and assess the course, the trainers themselves were also assessed and gained the Qualified Clinical Research Trainer Certification (TIACR).
“The in-depth assessment process ensured we could award VIARES CRA ACADEMY the 5 star accreditation with confidence. The VIARES team worked diligently alongside us throughout the six months to ensure the program measured up to the high standards required,” remarked Karen Ruthven, Global Head of Workforce Competence Services, IAOCR, who led the accreditation process. “VIARES have very experienced and competent trainers who were open to adjusting and adapting to our feedback and recommendations to achieve the best outcomes; it was a pleasure to work with them.”
The 5 star accreditation is awarded to organizations who demonstrate commitment to providing high quality development programs. The VIARES program has been independently assessed and mapped to the CRA Global Clinical Research Competency Frameworks (Core Global Standards) and there is a robust assessment of learners against these core global competency standards to ensure that they can apply what they have learnt during the training to practical workplace activities.
