Eye health and vision has a major impact on the quality of life, and as such the development of products within this area is a lucrative market. Therapeutic research has resulted in improving the understanding of certain pathways that overlap within the eye; immunology and inflammation. This has resulted in over 2,500 clinical trials being underway with ocular drug product development.
