Romaco Group expands its management team
The Romaco Group has just appointed Dirk Bauernfeind as new Managing Director of Romaco Pharmatechnik GmbH. He will share the responsibility for the company with Carsten Strenger, CFO/COO of the Romaco Group. As of July 1, 2016, Paulo Alexandre will concentrate on his core function as CEO of the Romaco Group.
Dirk Bauernfeind, aged 43, will take up his new position as Managing Director of Romaco Pharmatechnik GmbH on July 1, 2016. He will be responsible for Sales, Project Engineering and Product Management. Mr. Bauernfeind will work alongside Carsten Strenger, who will act as Head of Finance and Operations both for Romaco Pharmatechnik GmbH and for the Romaco Group as a whole. In future, Paulo Alexandre will concentrate fully on his core function as CEO of the Romaco Group. Romaco is a portfolio company of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG. The Noack, Siebler and Bosspak brands are manufactured at the Romaco Pharmatechnik GmbH facility in Karlsruhe.
Proven specialist for blister technologies
Prior to joining Romaco Pharmatechnik GmbH, Dirk Bauernfeind was Head of Global Product Management at Uhlmann Pac-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG. He was responsible in this function for Uhlmann’s entire machine portfolio. During his long career at the Uhlmann Group he held various positions within the company and gained managerial experience in the areas of product management, development and sales. “We’re delighted that Dirk Bauernfeind – a recognised expert in pharmaceutical packaging – has agreed to become new Managing Director of Romaco Pharmatechnik”, emphasised Paulo Alexandre, CEO Romaco Group. “I’m convinced that a proven specialist like Mr. Bauernfeind will provide crucial impetus for Romaco Pharmatechnik’s product development and sales activities.”
The move to Romaco will be a coming home for Bauernfeind, who is a native of the Baden region in south-west Germany. A qualified industrial mechanic and Business Engineering graduate, he can draw on extensive experience in sales and market intelligence backed up by a wealth of industry know-how. “What fascinates me about Romaco is the company’s strategic realignment and its strictly customer focused solution strategy”, said Bauernfeind. “Our customers expect single-source solutions that help them boost their efficiency in a sustainable way.
