Ophthalmic Medicines Development – Challenges and Opportunities
In the second half of the twentieth century, very few innovative ophthalmic medicines were put on the market. Most ophthalmic medicines were reformulations of systemic medicines or adaptations of general therapeutic concepts for ocular indications.
