A much-anticipated push toward improved medical communication is happening in June, when a final rule takes effect to revise an outdated prescription labelling system in the US for pregnancy. The proposed rule was issued in May 2008. For approved drug and biological product applications that are subject to the Physician Labelling Rule (PLR), the final rule requirements will be gradually phased in. Deborah A.
