Increased Awareness of Indian Population of Common Skin Conditions and Its Impact on Clinical Research: An Insight

Owing to a large population base, the prevalence of various dermatological disorders in India is fairly high, even for uncommon disorders. Vandana Mungroo Beechoo and Saurabh Mittal of CIDP India highlight how acne, melasma, vitiligo and aging are now universal phenomenon and the society is becoming more and more aware of the need to treat and/or reverse these processes. And because of the increased demand, lots of resources are now spent on R&D for new and improved molecules that are not only effective but safe too.
