By developing and bringing new oncology treatments to market, clinical researchers have an important role to play in helping reduce cancer-related mortality. But trials in this therapeutic area are not without challenges – research suggests that fewer than one in 20 adult cancer patients enroll in cancer clinical trials. Once enrolled, retaining these participants is vital.
