Currently more than 45% of the whole continent’s clinical trials are being conducted in South Africa, hence the need for pharmaceutical companies to identify the next generation clinical trial destination. Harish Kuppam of Beroe points out that North African countries such as Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Libya and Sudan are currently nurturing their abilities in clinical research to attract pharma giants and ease their clinical research activities in their countries.
