Getting the Most out of Wearable Technology in Clinical Research

The pharmaceutical industry continues to face a deeply entrenched
set of challenges as companies develop new medical products –
including declining clinical trial patient enrolment and retention
rates. Fortunately, there are a growing number of innovative
technologies with the potential to address this problem. By capturing
continuous data from patients via mobile wearable technology,
clinical trial sponsors may be able to reduce the burden of frequent
site visits, which could improve patient dropout rates and overall
clinical trial efficiencies. Tim Davis of ERT shows how sponsors,
regulators, solution providers, and other stakeholders manage this
opportunity.
