Clinical Trials in Egypt
Egypt has a long history of medicine, both ancient and modern. The medical school of Kasr El Aini, which is a research and teaching hospital affiliated with the faculty of Medicine, University of Cairo, has several departments and started in 1927. Magda Shafik at Nagy Research looks at why, as perregulations in Egypt, clinical studies should be run in medical schools, teaching hospitals, teaching institutes, specialised centres and all public hospitals under coverage of the Egyptian Ministry of Health, so many centres are added to medical schools for running clinical studies.
