The Republic of Mauritius, a tropical island belonging to
the Mascarene Archipelago in the Indian Ocean, is better
known for its sandy beaches than for its offer of clinical trials
management. Yet, for the past 10 years, a contract research
organisation has positioned this tropical paradise on the map
for clinical research. Today, this company – Centre International
de Développement Pharmaceutique – is an international CRO
which pioneered clinical research & development in Mauritius.
